the weekend!

Yarrr, some great shows this weekend. Here's the lowdown:

Steamers, Dec. 2
-Karmacanix kicked ass. They sound great. Can't wait for the CD.
-King Drew saying "Hey cougar! Check out deze nuts."
-Haig's bari sax. nuff said
-Chucho just plain surviving the night
-Brandon from One Drop showing up with one hand and a Hawaiian shirt. I can't believe we missed that afterparty...
-Meatball waking up in Langford at 10AM, not knowing he's in Langford
-passing out on the Karmacanix hi-hat stand
-rum 'n cokes 'n seaweed jello and Karmacanix marshmallow stains, sick
-meeting a "Japanese Jew"

Waverley, Cumberland, Dec. 3
-Meatball vs. the Calamari
-the mp3 player with only 4 songs providing the canned music
-who the hell bought a case of Kokanee? In cans?
-Brodster's drum stool is melting!
-the Richmond crew driving 4.5 hours to see the show after I told them it was only a 2.5 hour drive
-Matt C. vs. Dr. Tre in a second epic hiphop battle -- Matt C triumphs with the TKO
-coolest bar staff ever
-happy birthday Mark 'n Glen
-Meatball, please don't get naked in the hallway again with Nanaimopoly
-who the hell spilled most of the case of Kokanee? On Scot's pants?
-and, as you can see, the hallway didn't forget about Tre
